Our itinerary takes us to visit one of the most magical places in Tuscany: the area of the Amiata, majestic mountain that rises on the border between the Val d'Orcia and the Maremma. A place where almost everything has remained intact and alive with its traditions and its unique and fascinating history. We begin our visit from the medieval church of the Madonna della Lamulas once owned by the Benedictine monks, a jewel of Romanesque architecture and we continue then for Arcidosso, the undisputed fortress of the Aldobrandeschi who defended the castle from the perils of Siena for months and months. The bulk of the fortress rises above all dominating the narrow streets and red roofs that are hidden in the smoke from the chimneys.

Our journey then moves to Santa Fiora, a small medieval village that was the headquarters of the Aldobrandeschi  and Sforza family. Their building welcomes us by opening the door to a world of hidden squares, breathtaking views and priceless art treasures. And it is precisely here that we will admire one of the most impressive collections of Della  Robbia work of hart. We will  then end up in the beautiful park of Peschiera where the river Fiora start and  still gives so much water to many countries of the Maremma.
